Infiniti’s M56 debuts in 2011 to replace their previous mid-size luxury powerhouse, the M45. The all new rear wheel drive 2011 M56 and its all wheel drive sister sedan, the M56x, received aggressive styling and big V8 engines. With a starting price under $60,000, it has a price advantage over its German counterparts.The M56’s big 5.6 liter 32-valve V8 puts out 420 hp. The 7-speed automatic transmission is standard and has four shift modes in addition to the manual shift paddles. The exterior styling does nothing to hide this car’s intent. The styling cues are all aggressive fender flares and a lowered stance. 18-inch alloy wheels with high performance tires are standard on the M56, helping the car’s great handling.
The M56 has a long list of standard safety features including front and side airbags, 4-wheel antilock brakes, and an active head restraint system designed to reduce whiplash injury in the event of a collision.
Inside the 2011 M6’s cabin, there are many standard high-tech features included in the base model.
